POINT OF SALE (POS)

The point of sale (POS) or point of purchase (POP) is the time and place where a retail transaction is completed. At the point of sale, the merchant calculates the amount owed by the customer, indicates that amount, may prepare an invoice for the customer, and indicates the options for the customer to make payment.

Businesses are increasingly adopting POS systems, and one of the most obvious and compelling reasons is that a POS system does away with the need for price tags.

Main POS types

Panel corbel
A structure is attached to the end of the building. Bracket panels can be not only static but also light and dynamic.

Pillar
Installed in front of the entrance to the point of sale or indicating the direction to it. It is convenient in that it is easy to remove or move. Functionally, pavement signs differ in the number of working surfaces (one or two) and the frequency of information updating.

Tablets
Small plastic or cardboard rectangles containing advertising and informing: “open” or “closed” etc.

Product cards
Posters with an embossed image of goods and their prices, made of cardboard or plastic.
